Good olive oil can seriously reduce bad cholesterol
WARNING! GOOD OLIVE OIL CAN SERIOUSLY REDUCE BAD CHOLESTEROL (LDL's) :)
That's right, like other unsaturated fats, olive oil reduces the LDL's which carry cholesterol to the tissues and blocks arteries. But unfortunately many of them also remove HDL's which are called the good cholesterol because they carry cholesterol to the liver for eventual removal. Not so olive oil, which reduces only the so called bad cholesterol without depleting HDL which helps to combat heart disease.
Nutritionists recommend around 25g to 30g of good quality olive oil per day. And remember, the oil produced in industrial quantities lacks most of the best qualities of olive oil. A good bottle of wine lasts one meal, while a good bottle of oil lasts much longer.
